Moroccan international, Karim El Ahmadi has chosen to extend his stay at league leaders Feyenoord following successful negotiations with the club.

The 32-year-old has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract extension this Friday after an impressive campaign.

El Ahmadi has been instrumental in Feyenoord’s title challenge scoring five times and helping drive the midfield. In what has been the most productive season of his footballing career to date.

The Feyenoord vice-captain will now stay in Rotterdam until 2019, as he hopes to build on the success of last years KNVB Beker victory and claim the Eredivisie title.

El Ahmadi is currently in his seventh season with Feyenoord having rejoined the Rotterdam side in 2014 after a spell in the English Premier League with Aston Villa.
