Istanbul Basaksehir secured their first even Turkish Super Lig title on Sunday.

With two games to go heading into Sunday’s clash with Kayserispor, Istanbul Basaksehir held a four point lead over Trabzonspor.
Eljero Elia started for Istanbul Basaksehir but the game was delayed in play due to power failure. As the game went on, elsewhere, Trabzonspor lost 4-3 to Konyaspor, meaning the title was heading to Istanbul.
Istanbul Basaksehir also won their game 1-0 which was meaningless in the end as the title was already confirmed.
It’s a first ever league title for Istanbul Basaksehir, while Elia adds a title win in Turkey to an Eredivisie title with Feyenoord and the Serie A with Juventus.
