The cash-strapped club have flirted with bankruptcy several times over the past few years and were relying on the council again to come to their safety on Thursday.
Thankfully for the club, they voted in favour of granting Twente an extra €8.4 million loan which will allow them to pay back some of the debts they owe.
The €8.4 million is added on to the €17 million which the council already loaned FC Twente. The club will pay it back over a 30 year period.
