According to Tubantia, majority of Enschede councilors are prepared to approve a €32m council guarantee for FC Twente.

The guarantee will enable the financially troubled club to borrow €17m from the banks and pay back debts and council loan.
Some left wing parties are not happy with the decision and prefer a lesser guarantee. A decision is expected on 14th December.
The Tukkers who are currently 16th in Eredivisie are being investigated for a deal signed with investment company Doyen Sports. The deal allows the company to have a significant say in the transfer policy of the club and has already led to the resignation of Chairman Aldo van der Laan.
FIFA and KNVB are looking at a sanction for the club which could include a two year transfer ban.
