The winner of the Eredivisie next season goes directly into the Champions League group stages after the Netherlands place in the top ten of the coefficient list was assured on Wednesday.

Netherlands is currently ninth in the Coefficient list with a big lead over Turkey and Ukraine. However, Istanbul Basaksehir and Shakhtar Donetsk remained in the Europa League.

On Wednesday, though, Istanbul Basaksehir were hammered 3-0 by FC Copenhagen and exited the competition. This now means that Netherlands are assured of their spot in the top ten.

The winner of the Eredivisie next season now moves directly into the Champions League group stages.
