According to De Telegraaf, the KNVB have a scenario in place should they decide to cancel the rest of the Eredivisie season.

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, all football is now postponed until April but the KNVB are still unsure whether the season could actually be finished.

According to De Telegraaf, talks between the KNVB, Eredivisie CV and Coƶperatie Eerste Divisie have taken place about what would happen if the season was ended.

The worst case scenario would see no relegation taking place, which would be great news for ADO Den Haag and RKC Waalwijk. Numbers one and two of the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, SC Cambuur and De Graafschap, would be promoted and the league would start with 20 teams next season.

There would be no champion of the Eredivisie this season, but the current positions would decide the European places. Ajax would take the Champions League group stage place, while AZ would head into the playoffs.

Feyenoord would head straight into the Europa League, with PSV and Willem II taking playoff spots.
