A 89th minute penalty saw Cambuur come from behind to beat PEC Zwolle 2-1 in Leeuwarden.

PEC Zwolle had won their last three Eredivisie matches, and were flying high in third place going into the match. On 19 minutes they took the lead as Thomas Lam blasted the ball past Leonard Nienhuis after a lay-off by Jesper Drost. The visitors could have been further ahead before the break through Tomas Necid, who my have played his final game for the club, but his header was cleared off the line.
Twelve minutes into the second half Sander van de Streek weaved through a number of PEC Zwolle challenges before sliding the ball past Warner Hahn to equalise for Cambuur.
PEC Zwolle thought they had regained the lead on 66 minutes when a goalmouth scramble ended with Necid firing in from close range, but after deliberation between the officials the goal was disallowed as the striker was deemed to have kicked Etienne Reijnen in the face.
Ron Jans side’s fury at the decision was made worse as Cambuur were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute for a foul by Warner Hahn on Martijn Barto, and Erik Bakker slotted in the winning goal.
The win sees Cambuur sit 6th, while PEC Zwolle remain third but are likely to slide down the table by the end of the weekend.
