Bottom side Dordrecht claimed another precious point as they held Heerenveen to a 0-0 draw on Friday night.

dordheernjdndjHeerenveen were without top scorer Mark Uth, but instead of employing striker Thomas Dalgaard, coach Dwight Lodeweges decided to start midfielder Joey van den Berg up front. Van den Berg had Heerenveen’s best chance of the first half but his header was saved by Filip Kurto.

Dordrecht, clearly confident after their second win of the season last week afforded Heerenveen little chances, and they came close to opening the scoring in the second half, but Fernando Lewis could only see a shot deflected wide.

Dalgaard was eventually brought on for Sinkgraven, who was playing his final game in a Heerenveen shirt before a move to Ajax, but the striker could provide no breakthrough and the game limped to a disappointing draw.

The point sees Dordrecht move three points off second bottom NAC Breda, while Heerenveen are 7th.
