cid183661_vrede_580x310The first ten minutes saw two incidents decided by the Hawkeye system. Firstly Elvis Manu thought he had given the home side the lead when he hit a shot off the underside of the bar, but the video system showed the ball had not crossed the line.

Then on ten minutes Lex Immer’s shot was deflected onto the underside of the bar and then cleared away, but the referee awarded the goal after hawkeye showed the ball was in the net. The first time a goal had been decided using the system in the Eredivisie.

It wasn’t until the second half that Feyenoord killed the game off with two goals from Mitchell te Vrede. Firstly the striker nodded in from close range after a cross from Jean-Paul Boetius, then with 15 minutes left Jordy Clasie squared for the forward to tap in.

17-year-old defender Calvin Verdonk was handed his debut late on as Feyenoord comfortably climbed to third. NAC remain four points above bottom side Dordrecht.
