Maaskant handed debuts to new signings Menno Koch and Guyon Fernandez as NAC looked to for a positive start to 2015, but after only four minutes they were behind as Bart van Hintum’s shot from the right hand side of the box flew into the bottom corner.
PEC Zwolle confidently dominated the game after the goal, but ten minutes into the second half NAC equalised as Adnane Tighadouini found the top corner from the edge of the box.
Any chance that the goal could kick NAC Breda on were swiftly ended by PEC Zwolle as they netted three goals in the space of eight minutes to seal a comfortable victory. Firstly Jesper Drost latched onto Van Hintum’s pass before slotting past Jelle ten Rouwelaar to make it 2-1 before Jody Lukoki was found at the back post to head in an easy third. The three points were sealed by Ben Rienstra who smashed into the top corner after racing into the box.
The win lifts PEC Zwolle above Feyenoord into third while NAC Breda remain second bottom.
