At the bottom of the table, Dordrecht’s win on Friday night piled the pressure on second bottom NAC Breda, but after only six minutes they were behind. Luc Castaignos, who had not scored since the end of November, fired Hakim Ziyech’s chest down into the corner.
Twente had lost four in a row and their lack of confidence was evident as NAC were given chances and only a great save from Sonny Stevens denied Mats Suetjens on fourteen minutes.
In the second half both side exchanged chances with Stevens denying Adnane Tighadouini while at the other end Castaignos failed to net when faced with Jelle ten Rouwelaar.
As Twente failed to kill the game, the crowd and players became more nervous and a minute before the end Erik Falkenburg cut inside Robbert Schilder before curling past Stevens to earn NAC a point.
Twente remain 8th and their chances of European football get dimmer by the week, with the pressure growing on coach Alfred Schreuder. NAC are now four points above Dordrecht at the bottom, but still four points from safety.
