Dordrecht’s chances of escaping the bottom of the table look all but over, but they put up a good fight in the first half with Vitesse, and thought they had taken the lead through Anthony Biekman, but the goal was disallowed.
Vitesse were frustrated in the first half, but on 51 minutes Valeri Qazaishvili raced through on goal from Marko Vejinovic’s pass before finding the bottom corner. On 65 minutes the Georgian midfielder doubled the lead after Dordrecht gave away possession in midfield, and three minutes later Renato Ibarra sealed the three points, rounding Filip Kurto before sliding the ball into the empty net.
Vitesse now sit four points behind Feyenoord, who play tomorrow, while Dordrecht could be officially relegated if Go Ahead Eagles win on Sunday.
