The 12th week of the Eredivisie saw Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar all record victories, while Sparta Rotterdam’s good form continues. Below is the Football-Oranje team of the week.

Yvon Mvogo (PSV Eindhoven)

The goalkeeper has made some errors since joining PSV in the summer, but on Sunday he was key as his side held on for a 2-1 victory over Utrecht. A much safer pair of hands.

Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord)

Once again, Senesi was in great form for Feyenoord as they defeated VVV-Venlo 3-0 on Sunday. The Argentinian star easily dealt with the VVV attack that included in-form Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Jan-Paul van Hecke (Heerenveen)

Heerenveen earned a 1-1 draw against Vitesse on Sunday and the point was due to a solid defensive showing in the second half. Van Hecke was the pick of the bunch and has been rapidly developing since joining Heerenveen on loan from Brighton in the summer.

Ronald Araujo (FC Emmen)

Solid at the back and a threat from set-pieces, Araujo scored his second goal in a week as Emmen drew 1-1 with ADO Den Haag. The centre-back orchestrated Emmen’s play and finished the game with 96.7% pass accuracy.

Abdou Harroui (Sparta Rotterdam)

Sparta defeated Willem II 3-1 on Sunday and once again Harroui was exceptional for the Rotterdammers. He is not only a threat going forward, but Harrioui also has the most interceptions in the Eredivisie.

Mohamed Ihattaren (PSV Eindhoven)

Finally the only Ihattaren is starting to return and he lit up PSV’s 2-1 win over Utrecht with a wonderful goal. Roger Schmidt has been working hard with the 18-year-old and it is starting to pay off.

Teun Koopmeiners (AZ Alkmaar)

AZ Alkmaar’s captain was once again the standout for AZ in their 3-1 win at FC Twente. Scored a penalty and a lovely free-kick in the win. Bossed the midfield in what could have been a tricky game for AZ.

Jens Toornstra (Feyenoord)

Feyenoord were struggling to break down VVV-Venlo until Toornstra unlocked the door with a stunning opener. The midfielder also made it 3-0 to book a big win for Dick Advocaat’s side.

Antony (Ajax)

The Brazilian winger inspired Ajax’s 4-0 victory over PEC Zwolle with two assists and a lovely goal. A much better performance from Antony, who flattered to deceive in the Champions League.

Deroy Duarte (Sparta Rotterdam)

Duarte is in great form for Sparta Rotterdam, scoring a double in the 3-1 win at Willem II. He now has three goals and two assists in his last three games.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Ajax)

The veteran was given a rare start for Ajax on Saturday and he scored with a lovely header to set Ajax on their way to a 4-0 win. After the game he confirmed he is set to retire at the end of the season and he will definitely be missed. A legend in his last few months of playing.
