The 17th round of the Eredivisie saw Ajax overcome Feyenoord in De Klassieker, while Vitesse Arnhem, PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar all recorded victories. Below is our team of the week.

Andre Onana (Ajax)

Ajax were not at their best but they got a 1-0 win over Feyenoord, thanks in part to Onana. The goalkeeper made two big saves in the game as Ajax clung on to victory.

Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord)

May have been at fault a little for the Ajax goal but Senesi put in a defensive masterclass after that and was unlucky to be on the losing side on Sunday.

Riechedly Bazoer (Vitesse)

Every week, Vitesse seems to be getting better and Bazoer was once again a standout during the 4-1 victory over Emmen. The controller had 104 touches, by far the most on his side, and completed 91.2% of his passes. He just makes Vitesse tick.

Tyrell Malacia (Feyenoord)

Antony was the one to watch for Ajax going into Sunday’s game but he was completely shut down by Malaci, who is one of the most underrated defenders in the league this season. An excellent performance from the left-back.

Zian Flemming (Fortuna Sittard)

Fortuna Sittard keep picking up wins and Zian Flemming excelled in a 2-0 victory over his former side PEC Zwolle. The midfielder netted one of the goals, but throughout the game took six shots and created two chances.

Sander van de Streek (Utrecht)

Utrecht finally got a much-needed win at the weekend with Van der Streek netting in a 2-0 victory over Heracles. The midfielder also created four chances in the game, took five shots, and completed two dribbles.

Ryan Gravenberch (Ajax)

He may have only played one half on Sunday, but Gravenberch was the match winner on Sunday for Ajax. The 18-year-old was excellent in the first-half and it isn’t a surprise that Ajax struggled when he had to go off.

Zakaria Aboukhlal (AZ Alkmaar)

AZ Alkmaar needed a hero against ADO Den Haag when they fell behind and Aboukhlal stepped up to net twice as they won 2-1. Aboukhlal will be hoping his goals will see him come into the starting line-up.

Noni Madueke (PSV)

The Englishman was one fine form in PSV’s 5-3 win over Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday evening with Madueke netting one of the goals. He created two chances, completed 96% of his passes and was successful in 6 dribbles.

Thomas Buitink (Vitesse Arnhem)

The 20-year-old was handed a rare start and immediately scored within two minutes against Emmen. Buitink also created two chances during the game and put in an all-round impressive performance. Vitesse have four good quality strikers in their squad.

Donyell Malen (PSV)

Malen started on the bench for PSV Eindhoven but came on in the 40th minute when Cody Gakpo got injured. He went on to net twice and provide an assist in the 5-3 win over Sparta Rotterdam. A wonderful performance.
