Erik Ten Hag spoke of his pride as Utrecht booked their spot in the Europa League next season.

Utrecht were 3-0 down in their first leg against AZ Alkmaar but won the second 3-0 in normal time and then sealed their spot in Europe in the penalty shootout. They will enter the Europa league in the second qualifying round.
Ten Hag said, ”We have given so much this season and it has cost a lot of energy. We had a goal to win the European play-offs and we have done it.
”I am so proud of my players and staff for what they have achieved. We have worked very hard the last two years to create a mentality where self-confidence and belief are decisive if you want to win things.
”To turn this tie around today was a thriller and my players gave everything. In many times this season, we have managed to win games in the closing stages of matches.
”We have had a lot of leaders in the squad this season. We are building this club up and developing players too. We have shown a great attitude today.
” We will enjoy today and we look forward to playing in Europe next season.”
