After their devastating loss to Wolfsberger last week, Feyenoord host Russian side CSKA Moscow in what is now a must-win clash for the Rotterdammers. Kick-off is at 8 pm.

Feyenoord got off to a decent start to the competition with a 0-0 draw away to Dinamo Zagreb, but they were hammered 4-1 by Wolfsberger last week after some more than questionable penalty decisions went in the Austrian side’s favour.

Now, Feyenoord hosts Russian giants CSKA Moscow in a game they need to win if they are to have any chance of reaching the knockout rounds.

CSKA Moscow, who finished fourth in their league last season, have drawn both of their Europa League games so far. They currently sit top in the Russian league and won 1-0 against Rotor Volgograd.

Feyenoord have had an indifferent start to the league campaign, but they beat Emmen 3-2 at the weekend. They are now fifth.

Can Feyenoord beat CSKA Moscow?

Feyenoord are not in good form at the moment, despite their victory over Emmen this weekend.

CSKA Moscow head to Rotterdam top of their league and with plenty of players that can take advantage of Feyenoord’s leaky defence.

If Advocaat’s side are to win they will need to keep it tight and take their chances, which has been an issue during their recent games.

This is a tight group and at the moment there is no runaway leader. If Feyenoord don’t win, though, it could be difficult for them with two away games to come.
