Koeman has been linked with Everton since Roberto Martinez was sacked at the end of the season, and reports in the Netherlands claimed it was a done deal last week.
The BBC are now reporting that the deal is close to being confirmed after Everton agreed to pay Southampton £5 million to release Koeman from his contract.
Koeman is currently on holiday, but is believed to have already agreed personal terms with Everton, and it’s only a matter of time before the Liverpool-based club announce their new coach.
Koeman, who leaves Southampton after two years in charge, will take his brother Erwin and fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg with him to Goodison Park.
Brilliant stuff.
Koeman vs Klopp. Bring it on!
Hope he can get Wijnaldum, Janssen, Berghuis, El Ghazi
Hope he stays around (as is the want of Kenwright to give his managers a decent time to build) and in years to come can transition the likes of Van de beek and Nouri to the EPL.
As an Everton fan, there’s no better manager we could of got.
And hopefully, when the time is right Koeman will leave and take Netherlands to the WC final.
