Excelsior have signed Ajax striker Zakaria El Azzouzi on a one-year loan deal.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his debut for Ajax’s first team, but has spent time on loan with FC Twente and Sparta Rotterdam over the two seasons. With Sparta, he netted five times in 26 appearances before his loan was cut short before the end of last season.
El Azzouzi still has three years left on his contract with Ajax, but will spend next season again in Rotterdam, but this time with Excelsior.
After losing Nigel Hasselbaink, Excelsior were on the lookout for a new forward.
