Ruud Brood led NEC Nijmegen to the Eerste Divisie title last season, but decided to leave the club and is likely to become the assistant to Phillip Cocu at PSV Eindhoven. He has now been replaced by the man who did his new job for the past three years, Ernest Faber.
The 43-year-old, who coached FC Eindhoven between 2010 and 2012 before joining PSV, was unveiled by NEC today after signing a two-year-deal.
Faber said at his unveiling press conference, “I am proud and happy to go to work here.”
The former defender spent a season on loan at NEC during his playing career, but will now be tasked with making sure the club stay in the Eredivisie next season.
