Excelsior and Utrecht played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Rotterdam on Sunday morning.

The home side made a good start to the game and after 20 minutes they had the lead with Stanley Elbers sliding the ball over the line from close range after good work by Mike van Duinen.

The lead only lasted three minutes before Mark van der Maarel sent a diving header into the net from close range to draw the visitors level.

On 73 minutes, Zakaria Labyad gave Utrecht the lead with a stunning free-kick into the top corner. However, Hicham Faik ensured that Excelsior got a point with an excellent strike from just outside the box which flew into the top corner.
