FC Den Bosch have sacked manager René van Eck with immediate effect following a run of disappointing results including the KNVB beker quarter final defeat to amateur club VVSB.

FC Den Bosch are currently 14th in the Jupiler League and assistant manager Paul Beekmans will take over as manager while the club look for a replacement.
General director of Den Bosch Edward van Wonderen released a statement on the club website citing the following “Unfortunately René van Eck has been unable to fulfil our sporting ambitions. We hope a change of manager will provide an impulse in which we can still achieve the promotion play-offs “.
