FC Twente have completed the season-long loan signing of Thomas Lam from Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old Finnish international left PEC Zwolle for England last summer and despite being involved early on at Forest, he has since lost his place. After 21 appearances for the club, Lam has been allowed to return to the Netherlands and will play the rest of the season on loan with FC Twente.

Lam has blamed Forest coach Mark Warburton for not giving him a chance, telling VI, “He actually chose for English players only, the foreigners fell out the boat. I did not have a chance anymore. That feels unfair, frustrating. ”

Lam will now bolster a FC Twente defence which has struggled at the start of the season with the Tukkers currently sitting bottom.
