Feyenoord have announced that Leroy Fer will join up with their squad in Austra.

The midfielder is currently a free agent after leaving Swansea City at the end of the season.

Fer will join up with Feyenoord in order to regain fitness ahead of the new campaign. It is uncertain whether, Feyenoord are looking to sign the 29-year-old.

Fer made his debut for Feyenoord at 17 before joining FC Twente in 2011. He then relocated to England for spells with Norwich City and QPR before joining Swansea City.
