Feyenoord have reached an agreement with AZ Alkmaar to sign left-back Ridgeciano Haps with midfielder Marko Vejinovic heading the other way on loan as part of the deal.

After the departure of Terence Kongolo to Monaco, Feyenoord were in need of a new left-back and have moved quickly to agree a deal with AZ Alkmaar for Ridgeciano Haps. Feyenoord also agreed a deal for Heerenveen centre-back Jerry St Juste today with both set to undergo their medicals on Tuesday before joining up with their new teammates in Austria.

Haps and St Juste will take Feyenoord’s signing tally to five for the summer after the acquisitions of Sofyan Amrabat, Jean-Paul Boetius and Kevin Diks. The club will now focus on the attack with Steven Berghuis and Robin van Persie still targets for the Eredivisie champions.

One player leaving De Kuip today is midfielder Marko Vejinovic, who is loaned to AZ as part of the deal for Haps. The 27-year-old fell out of favour last season under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and will look to get his career back on track in Alkmaar.

Update: According to De Telegraaf, Feyenoord will pay €6 million plus Vejinovic on loan for Haps, while Heerenveen receives €4.5 million for St Juste.
