According to ELF Voetbal, Feyenoord have strong interest in the Austrian striker who currently plays for Bundesliga two side SpVgg Greuther Furth. The player is currently priced at around €800k and it is thought that the Rotterdam club will have to pay close to that valuation in order to acquire the player. The twenty-four-year-old normally plays as a shadow striker and has scored thirteen goals in sixty-two appearances for Greuther Furth.
The fact that Feyenoord are tracking Zulj comes as a surprise after Giovanni van Bronckhorst recently hinted that he was looking for reinforcement on the wings. However, the addition of Zulj would allow the manager to switch tactics more easily especially against stronger opponents in the Europa League.
Before SpVgg Greuther Furth, Zulj played for a number of Austrian sides including Red Bull Salzburg where he won the Austrian Championship in the 2013/14.
This would be an interesting pickup. No he would not be competition for Jorgenson. Go back a couple of years. While playing in Austria during the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons he was an attacking mid fielder and a very good one in that league. During the 2012/13 season he played 43 games in the domestic league, cup and euorpa competitions. Scored 13 goals and had 6 assists all but 2 games as an AMF. During the 2013/14 season he played 40 games domesticly, cup, and europa scoring 13 goals and 10 assists, with the majority of games again coming as an AMF. Now does he have the foot speed to be a winger? Could GVB be thinking about going to a formation with 2 strikers? Could Vilhena be going to wing? All good questions.
