Steven Berghuis netted a hattrick as Feyenoord defeated NAC Breda 7-1 to book their place in the KNVB Cup final.

NAC Breda had reached the semi-finals after knocking out both PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar. However, an in-form Feyenoord proved to be too much for the Keueken Kampionen Divisie side.

After fifteen minutes, Marcos Senesi put Feyenoord in front from a free-kick. Five minutes later, Eric Botteghin was fouled and Steven Berghuis made it 2-0 from the penalty spot.

NAC were rattled and Róbert Bozeník quickly made it 3-0 after a big error from goalkeeper Nick Olij before Ridgeciano Haps added a fourth from a quick break.

Just before half-time, Berghuis marked an excellent first half for Feyenoord with an excellent lobbed finish to make it 5-0 for the hosts.

An error from Justin Bijlow allowed Jan Paul van Hecke to pull one back for NAC Breda. However, after a foul on Bozenik in the 51st minute, Berghuis completed his hattrick. The winger then went off to a standing ovation and was replaced by Luciano Narsingh.

Just before the end, Narsingh added the seventh goal from the penalty spot after being brought down. Roger Riera was sent off for NAC.

Feyenoord will now meet Utrecht in the KNVB Cup final on April the 19th.
