de vrij asDe Vrij who has played in both games for the Netherlands looked set to depart to Italy with Lazio for around eight million Euros before the World Cup. However it looks like the price that the club will demand has become higher and a potential move could be off according to Italian newspaper Tempo.

Another Italian newspaper Tuttosport reports that the Biancocelesti will now turn their attention to another Feyenoord defender, Bruno Martins Indi.

Martins Indi is contracted with the Rotterdam club until 2016 whereas De Vrij is contracted till next summer. Both defenders have been linked with other club including Manchester United.

It remains to be seen whether Feyenoord will sell both their star defenders this summer with the clubs finances vastly improved from what they were last season, and a Champions League qualifier to come.
