Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed in his press conference that Feyenoord are searching for a new striker should Nicolai Jorgensen depart for Newcastle United.

De Telegraaf are reporting that Feyenoord rejected Newcastle’s second bid of €17 million for the Dane and are still holding out for €20 million. With four days left in the transfer window, Newcastle are expected to return with an improved bid and ar confident of getting the deal done.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday, Giovanni van Bronckhorst stated that he wanted to keep Jorgensen but also confirmed that they are looking for a new forward should he depart.
He said when asked if he was hoping to sign a replacement, “Yes, how do you do that?” You have a list of possible successors, but you are dependent on many factors, and I now wait for information from Martin (Van Geel). “
