vn wolfAccording to fr12.nl, Feyenoord are preparing to launch a bid for Ricky van Wolfswinkel with contact already established between van Wolfswinkel’s representatives and the club. Van Wolfswinkel has endured a difficult spell at Norwich since his move in 2013 for €10.5 (£8.5) million.

The forward has only started twenty-eight games in three years at Norwich and has had disappointing loan spells with Real Betis and Saint Etienne. It is thought that van Wolfswinkel is keen to end his frustrating spell and would be open to a move back to the Eredivise.

Feyenoord are looking to strengthen their squad for the coming Europa League campaign and have identified striker as a position in need of reinforcements. The Rotterdam club had previously targeted Bas Dost, but it is thought he isn’t keen on a return to the Eredivise at this point.

Van Wolfswinkel is currently valued at around €2.5 (£1.88) million, a price range well within Feyenoord’s budget. The striker enjoyed successful spells at Sporting CP and FC Utrecht before moving to Norwich in 2013.
