The 25-year-old signed a four-year-contract at De Kuip on Friday after Feyenoord and Vitesse agreed a fee of around €3.5 million. Vejinovic has been handed the number five shirt.
Vejinovic told the official Feyenoord website, “I’ve gotten a good and warm feeling very quickly at Feyenoord. I’ll do everything I can to succeed here.
“I can not wait for Sunday when I can complete my first training session with Feyenoord.”
The Amsterdam born midfielder started his career with AZ Alkmaar, and was part of the squad that lifted the Eredivisie trophy in 2009. A move to Heracles followed before Vejinovic signed for Vitesse in 2013. In Arnhem, Vejinovic made 61 league appearances, scoring 12 goals.
Feyenoord’s signing of Vejinovic may pave the way for Jordy Clasie to leave the club with interest from Lazio and Southampton.
A very good move. A couple more signings and we will be all set. Of course we still need to make the sells….
