Feyenoord has announced the signing of English international Raheem Sterling on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The winger was most recently contracted to Chelsea but had his contract terminated which left him as a free agent.

Sterling has now made the surprise decision to join Feyenoord on a deal until the end of the season. Feyenoord still need to await a work permit before he can join in with training.

The 31-year-old has represented Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea during his career so the move to Feyenoord is his first adventure abroad. He has yet to play this season so may need some time to get match fit before he makes an impact in Rotterdam.
