In August, Netherlands stood in a record low 36th place, but their results over the last few months saw them rise to 29th. Now the recent victories over Belarus and Sweden have meant Oranje find themselves in 20th, despite the fact they finished third in their World Cup qualifying group and will not be in Russia next year.

The rankings places will be crucial for Netherlands in upcoming draws for the UEFA Nations League and the 2020 European Championships.

Germany are once again top of the rankings, while Brazil and Portugal round off the top three.
