Dick Advocaat has cut five players from the Netherlands squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier with Luxembourg.

Steven Berghuis, Davy Pröpper, Bart Ramselaar, Nick Viergever and Marten de Roon are the unlucky players deemed surplus to requirements after the 5-0 win over Ivory Coast on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Advocaat appears on the training field for the first time since being named Netherlands head coach alongside his assistant Ruud Gullit. He will oversee the preparations for the must-win World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg this Friday.
The full squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Sergio Padt, Jasper Cillessen, Jeroen Zoet
Defenders: Joel Veltman, Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake, Daley Blind, Wesley Hoedt, Stefan de Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Kenny Tete
