Great podcast lads, but come on, Martins Indi ahead of Hoedt? Just because he played a decent game or two for Stoke. He needs to play two seasons of decent football in EPL before getting back in.
And as easy as it is to have GW, KS and DK as 6,8,10 this will never get the team to where it needs to get to. There is no pitbull amongst them and no creative playmaker pulling the strings. It is very restrictive and will easily be contained by top class defences. Its the balance/combination not the three players themselves. I can see you guys think Klassen the no.10 but if you don’t have the puppeteer type then in my opinon Wijnaldum is ahead of Klassen. If nothing else he provides the extra speed, both for attack and defence and allows the option for Dost to play. Kalssen and Dost don’t compliment so your restricted again to Jansen who is underplayed and apparently out of form.
Restricted been the main theme here. Everything Blind seem to have done amount to a restrictive type of play. Can you really see this team being let loose the way Iceland played in the Euros. Not a chance. Personally I’d have Vilhena in at 8 to make way for Klassen because he’ll bring much needed passion to the side. Its not all about slide rule passes.
