Current Heerenveen interim manager Foppe de Haan became very emotional and was very close to tears as he spoke in his press conference of his pride about how well Heerenveen played during their 3-0 win at home to Roda JC.

”You saw moments from us in the game for example with Sam Larsson on the left hand side that my players started to play really good possesion football and I thought it was really good”. Foppe told the media.
”As I was watching it I was really moved by our play and it was great to see and this is why you do it for the people. Management is my biggest hobby but I want to get Heerenveen alive and kicking again”.
They can be not doubting the impact that the 72 year old manager and two time previous manager of Heerenveen has had since replacing Dwight Lodeweges back in October with the club winning 3 of their last 6 games. Foppe de Haan has stated that he wishes to continue up to the impending winter break. But there are people at Heerenveen fans and board alike who hope that he has the strength and the determination to see out the season.
Heerenveen are currently 10th in the Eredivisie after 14 games and 8 points above the relegation zone.
