Former NEC Nijmegen manager Ruud Brood has joined PSV Eindhoven as an assistant to Phillip Cocu.

Brood has signed a one year deal with the club and replaced Ernest Faber who left to take charge of his former club. The 52 year old lead NEC to the Jupiler league title last year with a record 101 points.
This is what the former RKC Waalwijk manager told PSV TV,“I will obviously be no longer in charge as head coach but I did not have to think twice when I was offered an opportunity to join PSV.
“A big ambitious club like PSV fits me perfectly. I will do my very best to continue last season’s successes.”
