The 18-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs since breaking into the Ajax first-team last season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have all now approached De Ligt’s representatives to register their interest in signing the Dutch international. Talks have begun with Barry Hulshoff, the supervisor of De Ligt.
Barcelona have also been linked but are reportedly struggling to raise enough funds to make a serious approach for De Ligt, who has a contract in Amsterdam until 2021.
Too young. This move will hurt his career, mark my words.
If he goes to one of those 4 clubs, how much playing time do you think he will get the next few years? Almost none, and if he screws up the few playing chances he gets he won’t even be making the bench.
He should be staying at Ajax for at least 2-3 more years, but everything these days is sadly driven by greedy agents and players with over-inflated opinions of themselves.
Well said Bobb, spot on
