Netherlands U21 coach Albert Stuivenberg has named a provisional 26-man squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Scotland and Luxembourg.

vilhena u21Included in the squad, which will be whittled down to 23 players after a four day training camp, are four players named in Louis van Gaal’s provisional World Cup squad. Jean Paul Boetius, Quincy Promes, Tonny Vilhena and Karim Rekik all have the chance of traveling to Brazil this summer, but have been allowed to join the U21’s for the two European Championship qualifiers.

Also named in the squad are Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel, Twente striker Luc Castaignos, and PSV’s Adam Maher, but Davy Klaassen, Guus Hupperts, and Jorrit Hendrix have all withdrawn through injury.

Netherlands face Scotland in Paisley on May 28th before hosting Luxembourg three days later in Maastricht. Two wins will all but see the Dutch qualify for the 2015 tournament, as they would be three points ahead of 2nd placed Slovakia with two home games left.
