Fraser was already confirmed to be leaving Vitesse at the end of the season with former Russia and Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky set to take over.

However, with the club currently seventh in the table and on a poor run of form which has seen them beaten recently by NAC Breda and Roda JC, Vitesse have decided to part ways with Fraser early. Edward Sturing will take over until the end of the season.

Fraser took charge of Vitesse at the start of last season and guided the club to a historic KNVB Cup win. However, his second season has been far from a success with early exits from Europe and the KNVB Cup.

The former ADO Den Haag coach won’t be out of work long, though, with Fraser taking over at Sparta Rotterdam in the summer.
