grim freThe appointment of the former goalkeeper fills a gap in the coaching staff of Danny Blind after the departure of both Marco van Basten (FIFA) and Dick Advocaat (Fenerbahce). The KNVB still hope to hire another assistant coach, with Danny Landzaat reportedly being considered.

Grim said on his new job, “Working with the best footballers in the Netherlands is fantastic. In addition, there is a nice goal with qualification for the 2018 World Cup. Of course, I worked in the Juniors with absolute pleasure and motivation, and I would have liked to go to the European Championship with that team. But this is an opportunity I grasp with both hands. “
