Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken is open to a transfer this summer and is dreaming of a future place in the Netherlands squad.

The 26-year-old made his breakthrough in the Bundesliga this season, but had to give up his starting spot when Freiburg number one Alexander Schwolow recovered from an injury.
The goalkeeper has told Voetbal International that he is now looking to leave if he can’t get regular playing time, “It is very difficult to have the patience and wait until you are allowed to be on the field again.
“My situation depends a little on Schwolow’s future, whether he stays or leaves. But I have something in my mind like this: if he stays, then I want to take a step. After two years on the bench, I want to start competing on a longer period. “
Flekken also has a Netherlands spot in his head, “That dream has always been there, but I am also sober enough to realise that it is still too early at the moment. For that I have to play matches at a certain level first. If then ever the chance may come then I will certainly accept it. “
