Defending champions Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash.

Liverpool are cruising to the Premier League title and turned up in Madrid on Tuesday looking to take a step towards the Champions League last eight.
Georginio Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk were both in Liverpool’s line-up but they could only watch on as Saul gave Atletico the lead in the 4th minute.
The Spanish side could have made it 2-0 after a rare error from Van Dijk but Alisson denied Alvaro Morata.
Liverpool failed to really make an impact in the game and they will need to overcome the deficit in two weeks time if they are to retain the trophy.
