Cody Gakpo is happy to be mentioned around the Dutch national team but he is focused on PSV Eindhoven.

Netherlands boss Frank de Boer mentioned Cody Gakpo as one of the great talents coming through in Oranje, and the coach is keeping a keen eye on the winger.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Gakpo said, “It is of course nice that I am mentioned, but we will see how things will go. For me it is first important to perform well again at PSV when I return there and currently here at the Netherlands U21’s.”

Gakpo recently overcame coronavirus and is working to full fitness again, “I’m fit, but I used the past week to really get fit again. I did a lot of extra running exercises after the training, so this was the most sensible choice. I was out for a long time, missed five games and I felt that.”
