Netherlands started brightly, and Jean Paul Boetius, who was returning to international football after injury, netted the opener on 15 minutes.
Georgia went looking for the equaliser, but goalkeeper Warner Hahn and the bar kept them out, before Castaignos made it 2-0 before the break, seizing on a short back-pass to finish into an empty net.
After the break, Castaignos added his second with a cross which crept into the net, before the home side were reduced to ten men after captain Nika Kvekveskiri was shown red for tripping Boetius.
Quincy Promes then netted twice, the first a fine free kick from the edge of the box on 67 minutes, and then his second four minute later from close range after being set up by Castaignos.
Castaignos then completed his hat-trick on 80 minutes with a nice finish, before being taken off to a standing ovation, and being replaced by Davy Klaassen.
The win makes it three out of three for the Dutch in their European Championship group, and they are yet to concede a goal, which they have Hahn to thank for.
Attention will now turn to Monday when Netherlands will face Austria in a friendly, with Boetius expected to be fit despite being taken off with an injury.
Want Luc to get a shot with the seniors. He’s getting his confidence back after the horrible mistake in going to Inter way too young.
I agree with you Mike. He is more than capable and has shown this with Twente. Its a shame regarding the dutch strikers who have recently slipped away. This included Van Wolfswinkel, Bas Dost, Luuk De Jong. There is an abundance of talent there but I think they have just joined the wrong team where it hasnt worked out.
