The first qualifying round of the Europa League was drawn on Monday with Go Ahead Eagles paired up with Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

go ahead europGo Ahead Eagles were relegated from the Eredivisie last season, but found themselves in the Europa league due to the fair play rankings after FC Twente waived their invitation.

The first leg will be played in Netherlands on the 2nd of July, but in Emmen instead of Deventer due to work on Go Ahead Eagles Adelaarshorst stadion. The 2nd leg in Hungary will be played a week later.

Ferencvaros finished 2nd in the Hungarian league last season, but triumphed in the nations cup tournament. The club managed by Thomas Doll participated in the Europa League last season, but were eliminated by HNK Rijeka.
