gomez ajaFiorentina striker Mario Gomez who spent last season on loan at Turkish club Besiktas could be in line to replace the departing Arkadiusz Milik.

The German international striker who turned down a permanent deal to stay in Turkey due to the political situation in the country was according to Voetbalcentraal.nl spotted in Amsterdam by none other than top hockey player Quirijn Caspers.

Gomez appears to have no future in Florence and could be a perfect fit to replace Arkaduisz Milik. The Polish striker’s transfer to Napoli seems all but complete and with the start of the season only a week away Ajax could pounce for the German international.

Gomez, a former champions league winner, has been capped by Germany 68 times and last season scored an impressive 26 goals in 33 games as Besiktas won the Turkish league.
