At the weekend, reports in Belgium stated that Bournemouth had been watching the Dutch international this summer but decided against a move for the winger.
However, that now appears to have been wrong and Groeneveld will complete his move to the Premier League shortly.
Club Brugge have reportedly accepted a £13.7 million offer from Bournemouth and Groeneveld has already completed a medical. The former PSV and NEC Nijmegen forward will sign a long-term contract in England.
The 22-year-old joined Club Brugge from NEC last summer and he scored six goals in 25 games for the club.
