Groningen have announced the signing of midfielder Hedwiges Maduro on a two-year-deal.

The 30-year-old agreed to terminate his contract with Greek side PAOK on Monday and quickly agreed a deal with Groningen to return to the Eredivisie. He has signed a two-year-deal at the Euroborg and was presented to the media on Tuesday evening.
Maduro started his career with Ajax, and made 70 Eredivisie appearances for the Amsterdam club before joining Valencia in 2008. After four years in Valencia, Maduro joined Sevilla before moving to PAOK in 2014.
The midfielder, who can also play in defence, has 18 caps for Netherlands.
