Groningen have confirmed the signing of striker Charlison Benschop on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old was loaned to De Graafschap last season and scored five times in 18 appearances.
Benschop’s contract with German side Ingolstadt 04 expired this summer and Groningen have now picked him up on a free transfer. He has signed a contract until 2021.
The former RKC Waalwijk, AZ, Stade Brest, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Hannover 96 striker joins Bart van Hintum and Marco van Duin as new signings at the Euroborg.
