According to NOS, Abdenasser El Khayati could be heading back to the Eredivisie after leaving Qatar SC.

The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer after his contract with Qatar SC was terminated early.

According to NOS, El Khayati is in talks with Groningen and is set to give the club his answer after this weekend.

The playmaker has represented Den Bosch, NAC Breda, Kozakken Boys and ADO Den Haag during his career. He made 82 appearances for ADO Den Haag, scoring 36 goals.

ADO Den Haag are also open to El Khayati returning to the club.
